It's not the only thing sifting us from the party, but it does have a major part to play.
It's been coming for years for many reasons.
The Dems have been going through similar flight problems, just for different reasons.
It is interesting to watch the true Leftists leave their party because it isn't far enough to the Left while we who are truely on the Right leave our party because they aren't far enough to the Right.
In the end though, it seems that when it comes down to Presidential elections most of us who have left which ever party behind return to it to vote for that parties candidate.
I know I've done it. But who can blame me... Al Gore and John Kerry were just too scarey! :-)

Yep.
Pork, while common to both parties, has long been more of a problem with the Dems than it has with the Repubs.
No longer.
GWB has seen to that.
I love it that the record deficit is sifting the true conservatives from the Republican party loyalists.
